Position: 4 Mechanical Engineers

Purpose:

To meet our rapid growth, we require four Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineers with a minimum of 4 plus progressive years of DFMA experience to join our R&D Mechanical Engineering Team to design and develop mechanical systems from specification through to production ready phase. This role reports directly to the Team Manager, Mechanical Engineering.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Research and develop new technology for large format industrial inkjet printers

• Design components and subsystems for large format industrial inkjet printers

• Design for manufacturability and assembly

• Produce technical drawings and build prototypes

• Source components from suppliers

• Develop test procedures, test components and subsystems

• Analyze and document test results

• Produce assembly documentation for manufacturing

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• BSc in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering

• Progressive experience in machine design, specializing in precision sheet metal, high cycle mechanisms, pneumatics and thermal/vibration analysis

• Experienced user of SolidWorks, or equivalent 3-D modeling program

• Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

• Strong electrical aptitude an asset

• Proficiency using Mathcad, CFDesign or Cosmos FEA package for SolidWorks an asset

• Experience in designing roll media transports an asset

• Experience in designing injection molded and die cast parts an asset
