Position: Systems Engineer - Intermediate

Purpose:

To meet our rapid growth, we seek an Intermediate Systems Engineer with a minimum of 3 years progressive experience to join our R&D Systems Engineering Team to research the physical processes involved in developing digital inkjet printing systems and propose technical solutions to strengthen performance and quality. This role reports directly to the Team Manager, Systems Engineering.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, prototype, test and qualify platform designs for cutting edge digital UV wide format inkjet printers

• Develop software tooling to support research initiatives

• Develop tooling to study processes and properties related to inkjet printer design

• Participate in team-based decisions to recommend and propose new products and technologies

• Liaise with Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and solve complex system integration issues

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• BaSc in Systems Engineering or Engineering Physics

• Minimum of 3 years experience in fast paced, high tech new product development and manufacturing environment

• Experience developing data acquisition applications in product development environment

• Familiarity with image processing tools and techniques an asset

• Experience in linear motion control systems also an asset

• Possess a strong can do attitude and hands on approach to deliver superior results.
